How long does it take to see results from SEO?
The immediate answer to that is between 4 - 12 months. Yes, that sounds like a long time but it's the truth and it's why SEO companies charge such a lot of money to make the necessary changes to your website.
If your website is brand new it takes time for the search engines like Google and Yahoo/Bing to trust your domain name.
I always make a point of telling all who call me for a quote to build a new website - that a website is not a quick fix. It's a long-term business strategy that needs to be taken seriously and treated with respect.
SEO is a real challenge for businesses in highly competitive areas. It's quite possible to have 20 plumbing businesses jostling for work in the same town. They can't all be on the first page of search engine results.
Most of these sites stay in obscurity either because they've been self-built or because the web designer isn't up to speed on the constant changes at Google HQ that keep the goalposts shifting!
The solution is to pick a website designer with a track record in building sites that are seen on the first pages of search results.
